"Passo a Passo Entrelaço o Mundo ao Meu Sapato )Step by Step, I Weave the World into My Shoe) was developed as part of Mais Três, a programme of learning, creative practice, and engagement in Performing Arts and Visual Arts, delivered by A Oficina (Education and Cultural Mediation) in partnership with the Municipality of Guimarães (Department of Education). The programme is implemented in public primary schools and kindergartens across the municipality of Guimarães.

After all, how much time does time have?

Step by Step, I Weave the World into My Shoe explores the notion of time through textiles. Throughout the 2025/26 school year, pupils from Guimarães’ primary schools, guided by their Performing Arts and Visual Arts teachers, engaged in a rich process of brainstorming and creative exploration. Their ideas took shape as artistic installations created using techniques such as collage, weaving, embroidery, painting, video, and more.

This exhibition brings together a selection of these works, inviting visitors to move through the space at their own pace—step by step.
